David is Business Development Manager at Anopol.
Welcome to his Employee Spotlight.
How would you summarise what you do at Anopol?
I started as a packer at Anopol, and this was originally just a two-week assignment! I progressed from being a packer to supervisor, and eventually became a Production Manager.
I’ve learned so much about the business, from pickling to electropolishing, and even have a forklift licence.
My varied roles here at Anopol have given me the opportunity to really understand all aspects of the business. This really helps us to support our clients with their business requirements.
Now, as Business Development Manager, I’m liaising with our clients, supporting quality, technical support, enquiries and quotes.
How would you describe the culture at Anopol?
It’s a pleasure to work here. We’ve built an experienced team of friendly people who are experts at what they do. It’s a happy atmosphere and our clients certainly notice that and enjoy coming in to see us.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
I’m a people person, so definitely speaking with our clients and supporting my colleagues. There are clients with Anopol that have been here since I started with the company, and that says a lot about the relationships we have with our client base.
The world of electropolishing offers many challenges, and it’s very rewarding to support those and find effective ways of doing things to achieve the perfect end result.
What inspires you?
I’m very excited about the future here at Anopol. There’s a strong management team with fantastic expansion plans in place. I’m also inspired by the positive feedback we get from our clients.
What are your favourite activities outside of work?
I love football, supporting Aston Villa and enjoy watching them, but the main thing is supporting my four children.
I enjoy visiting Cornwall, especially Hayle and also holidays in Spain.
